Top 5 Patterns of 2025

Last week, I shared the most popular posts on the Stitch Whisper Blog from 2025. This week, I'm sharing the patterns that you all bought most frequently last year.

As I've written before, 2025 was the best year yet for Stitch Whisper Designs, and I look forward to all of us making 2026 even better. So let's check out what our best work is, here at Stitch Whisper, and thank you so much for all your support!

This lacy, crocheted scarf is worked from the center out, starting with a foundation pattern stitch. The design is pretty, delicate, and feminine, and a quick project, perfect for using that one gorgeous skein of lace weight mohair or alpaca you've been saving for a special occasion.

These practical mittens are crocheted in the round, from the fingertips down to the cuffs. Worked in worsted weight yarn, this pattern is a simplification of my other crocheted mitten pattern, Classic Crocheted Mittens. Unlike that pattern, the Top-Down Mittens include instructions for four sizes, instead of two.

Honestly, I was surprised at the popularity of this pattern. It's a hood with a turtleneck collar, knitted in worsted weight yarn. The collar is worked in mistake rib, and the hood is an easy lace pattern with a cable border around the opening for the face. Instructions are included for both child and adult sizes.

Whether you are looking for a quick baby shower gift to knit or something cozy to toss over the back of your couch, this little blanket is the pattern for you, This blanket is worked from the center out, in chunky yarn, using simple stitches. The gauge does most of the work for you.

This crocheted baby blanket is, by far, our most popular pattern. It's a little tricky to get started, but once you get the hang of how to do the increases, it just goes. A link is included in the pattern to a video tutorial for those increases, if you need it. If you prefer British crochet terminology, that version is also available. The American version is also available as part of the Crocheted Baby Blanket Collection.
