New Pattern! A Hat With Sleeves Sweater (Knit)

This sweater pattern is a wonderful project for the advanced beginner (that means, if you are comfortable making hats), a great first sweater, and an introduction to one-piece construction. Once you understand this pattern, you can make any number of variations on it. Making a child’s sweater in one piece from the bottom up has a lot in common with hat making.  The entire thing may be made with a 16- or 24-inch circular needle and corresponding double pointed needles. You start with a tube and a number of stitches that would make sense for a hat under other circumstances, and end by decreasing on those double pointed needles.
