I wrote this pattern years ago, but I still love this hooded shawl. It's an easy knit on large needles, with the body of the shawl worked from side to side in garter stitch. This is a perfect pattern for an advanced beginner and easy to enhance by crocheting around the edge in a heavier yarn or by adding fringe or tassels.
